Steve jobbs is one of my favorite ICT inventors because he
is the man behind the invention of circuit board. After he invented the circuit
board he also created one of the first operating systems that has a user
friendly interface. With the introduction of the operating system he introduced
the first computer that contains the monitor, cpu, and other parts that we can
observe these days. He is also one of the first to create the laptop computer.
After the introduction of the laptop to world market, series of devices were
introduced such as the iPod, iPad, iPhone, iOS, iTV, and even the online music
store which is the iTunes. Thus because of this he is often calledby other
people as the “jesus of computing” though even himself he doesn’t agree with
this. Jobbs died as a successful man and I know that he will be remembered as
the man who introduced us the modern day computing.
Next to steve jobbs is Linus Torvalds. Linus Torvalds is
finnish nationality who studied about the science of computing. What admired me
about him is his creation of the open-source operating system and softwares. As
an undergrad student, as what autobiographies wrote that he got bored of his
subjects thus making him to engage in computer games though it wasn’t developed
very well yet during his time, he got problems of license issues when he run
some of his applications, and because of this he wanted to create a software
that is for free and also for the goal of sharing it to those who can’t afford
expensive and genuine copies of operating systems and softwares.
Lastly Bill Gates comes to the list, he created an OS
similar to jobbs’ and Torvalds’ but it is the most user friendly os compared to
the linux and mac os. He created products similar to Jobbs’ but as other says
that he gets his ideas every time there are new apple products introduced
making him to create a less expensive and less durable compared to apple’s. But
what amazed me is that his confidence and market strategies of his company
making him one of the richest men of the world.
